The Man with the Broken Umbrella

So one day I was on my way home, the rain was pouring down hard, so I walked to the nearest shelter. And there I met this man. Sitting alone, a broken umbrella on the floor next to him. I felt kinda sad to see him stranded there. And it looked like the rain would not stop anytime soon.

I sat next to him. We introduced ourselves and started chatting, waiting for the rain to stop. One topic led to another. Seemed like we couldn't stop. I started feeling like I didn't want the rain to end.

But of course, it eventually did. But I was not worried anymore. And I guess neither was he. Up till now, we are very grateful to the heavy rain that day.

A Walk by the Beach
